Instructions

Cheese layer:

  • All of the ingredients that are specified in the “Cheese Layer” section should be mixed together in a bowl of medium size. Mix everything together, then leave it aside.

Meat layer:

  • After pressing the Sauté button on the Instant Pot, add olive oil to the inner pot after the device displays the temperature as hot.
  • After adding the meat, let it cook for one to two minutes without moving it. By breaking the meat with a wooden spoon, cook it until it is no longer pink in the center.
  • Add some minced garlic, sliced onion, and some salt and pepper to taste. While stirring occasionally, sauté the onion for one to two minutes, or until it has become tender.
  • Remove the contents of the Instant Pot and transfer them to a bowl using a spoon.
  • In order to deglaze the saucepan, add one and a half cups of water to it. The pressure cooker should be turned off.

Assembling:

  • The following is the sequence in which you should begin putting the ingredients in a springform pan or push pan measuring 7 by 3.
  • The first layer consists of breaking around three to four no-boil noodles and arranging them in such a way that they cover the bottom of the pan.
  • The second layer consists of spreading around three quarters to one cup of the spaghetti sauce over the noodles, smoothing the sauce out with the back of a spoon, and ensuring that the noodles are completely covered.
  • The third layer consists of spreading half of the meat mixture on top of the sauce layer in an even manner. Apply a light weight.
  • The fourth layer consists of spreading half of the cheese mixture on top of the meat layer in an even manner. Apply a light weight.
  • One, two, three, and four layers should be repeated. Apply a light weight.
  • A final layer of lasagna noodles that do not require boiling should be added. Apply a light weight. A half cup of mozzarella cheese should be sprinkled on top of the sauce before it is covered.
  • Cover the pan with a sheet of foil that has been sprayed with nonstick spray. The foil should not come into contact with the cheese, and you should strive to position it one inch away from the top layer of lasagna.

Cooking:

  • Assuming that you have not thrown away the one and a half cups of water that was included within the Instant Pot, if you have, then you should add one and a half cups of water to the pot.
  • First, place the lasagna pan that has been covered on a trivet that has handles, and then add it to the inner pot.
  • Keep the lid closed and secure. Simply turn the steam knob so that it is in the Sealing position.
  • Simply press the button labeled “Pressure Cook” or “Manual” and enter 42 minutes.
  • After the cooking cycle has been completed, you should then do a Natural Release for fifteen minutes. The next step is to discharge any steam that may still be present by turning the knob to the Venting position.
  • It is necessary to remove the lid from the pressure cooker and place the lasagna pan on a cooling rack.
  • The broiler in the oven should be set to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, and an oven rack should be positioned in the middle of the oven.
  • Take off the cover made of aluminum foil, sprinkle the top with the remaining half cup of mozzarella cheese, and then carefully place the lasagna pan in the oven while using oven mitts.
  • If you want the cheese to be bubbling and golden brown, you should just broil it for a few minutes. To avoid burning it, keep a tight eye on it!

Removing from pan:

  • After taking the lasagna out of the oven, let it cool for ten to fifteen minutes on a rack. This will help it keep its shape when you take it out of the pan.
  • Take the lasagna out of the springform pan and place it on a plate.
  • Wearing oven mitts, lift the pan and put it on a big aluminum or stainless steel can (anything canned!) while still holding the pan. This will free the lasagna from the pan. Be careful and slowly press down on the pan’s sides. The lasagna will stay on top of the can in the bottom of the push pan.
  • Quickly slide another plate under the lasagna.
  • Add fresh parsley as a garnish if you like. Cut and serve.
