Best Meatball Sliders Recipe

These quick, cheesy meatball sliders combine Hawaiian roll sliders and meatball subs perfectly. Make these with homemade or frozen meatballs for a weekday meal or game-day snack.  

INGREDIENTS

– 1 batch homemade meatballs – 1 batch batch quick marinara sauce – 2 packages Hawaiian sweet rolls 12 count each – 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese – ½ cup fresh or grated parmesan cheese For the Garlic Butter: – 4 tablespoons unsalted butter – 1-2 cloves garlic grated or minced – 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning – pinch salt & pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9"x13" baking dish with cooking spray. Cut the rolls in half horizontally like a bagel and put the bottoms in the baking dish, saving the tops.   

Step 1

Butter melts in a small pot over medium-low heat. Add garlic, Italian seasoning, and a touch of salt and pepper and cook until fragrant.   

Step 2

Apply a thin layer of garlic butter to the rolls' bottoms, then add ½-2/3 cup of marinara sauce, adjusting for desired sauceiness. Evenly sprinkle half the mozzarella and parmesan over the sauce.   

Step 3

Then add meatballs. You can put a complete meatball on each slider bread or cut them in half and distribute them evenly. Sprinkle remaining cheese.  

Step 4

Spread another ½ to ⅔ cup of marinara on the cut side of the roll tops. Put slider tops on. Use the leftover garlic butter to top the sliders.  

Step 5

Bake 15-20 minutes until hot and cheese melts. Use the remaining marinara for dipping.
