Blueberry French Toast Casserole Recipe

French Toast Casserole is easy to make, tastes great, and is sweet. Leave it out overnight for a tasty breakfast in the morning! It's great for a big group!

– 10cupsFrench loafsourdough – 1 1/2cupblueberrie – 5large egg – 1 1/2cupswhole milk – 1/3cupgranulated sugar – Zest from one lemon – 1/2teaspoonsground cinnamon – 1/4teaspoonsalt – 8tablespoonsunsalted buttermelted – 4tablespoonsbrown sugar – 1teaspoonground cinnamon – Pinchof salt – Blueberrie – Powdered sugar – Maple syrup

When bread is cut into cubes, it is recommended that each cube be one inch in size. This is something that should be done.

Evenly divide half the bread chunks and blueberries in the baking dish. Add remaining blueberries and bread bits.

Whisk eggs in a medium bowl. Stir in milk, sugar, lemon zest, and cinnamon. Pour milk mixture over bread chunks evenly.  

The dish should be placed in the refrigerator and allowed to chill for at least two to three hours, or overnight, whichever comes first.

Before beginning to prepare the oven, ensure that it is preheated to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and that the rack is positioned in the middle of the oven.

A baking dish of 9 by 13 inches should be lightly greased with bake spray, and then the dish should be set away later.

Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt to a small bowl. Melt the butter and mix it in. Spread the mixture out thoroughly over the casserole with a spoon.

The dish should be baked for thirty-five to forty-five minutes, or until the top is golden brown and more crunchy.

The dish should be removed from the oven and allowed to cool for around ten to fifteen minutes before being served.

A dusting of powdered sugar, maple syrup, and additional blueberries should be sprinkled on top before serving.
