The Ultimate Tater Tot Casserole Recipe

Classic Tater Tot Casserole uses the popular potato bits and cheese. Delicious flavors are layered in every bite. This quick dish is great for potlucks, game days, and parties!

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.Using cooking spray, lightly butter a baking dish that measures 9 inches by 13 inches. Put aside for later

A big skillet set over medium-high heat should be used to brown the ground beef. Include Worcestershire sauce in the seasonings, along with salt and pepper.

Remove any excess grease, then place the beef that has been cooked in the bottom of the baking dish that has been prepared. Put out in an even manner.  

To the skillet, add the onions and mushrooms, and sauté them for four to five minutes, or until the mushrooms become transparent.

After adding the garlic, continue to heat the mixture for one more minute while stirring it frequently during the course of that time.

Add pepper and salt to taste, and season with salt when you are done.The addition of flour and whisking for a few minutes is what is required to form a roux.

The heavy cream should be added gradually while being stirred to blend. If necessary, adjust the salt and pepper to taste. Give it a minute to simmer on low heat.

Adjust the heat to a low setting and mix in the sour cream. Once the meat has been removed from the fire, distribute the mixture over the top of it.

Using two cups of cheddar cheese, top the dish. Green beans and an additional two cups of cheddar cheese should be sprinkled on top.

The final step is to cover the casserole with frozen tater tots, placing them in a row next to each other across the entire surface of the casserole.

Bake the tater tots for thirty-five to forty minutes, or until they have a golden brown color and the cheese has melted.Serve as soon as possible.
